Land Shipping

If you’re looking for a simple and efficient method of shipping, our truck fleet is the best option for you. Your items will be hauled via one of our trailers that are equipped to carry large amounts of freight safely across long distances. The size of the truck will depend on the size of your move. This option is only available for moves between the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

Shipping by Sea

If you have some flexibility with the delivery window, shipping by sea is the best option for you as it is the most cost-effective and affordable. If you have a larger shipment, it will be sent through a Full Container Load (FCL) and if you have a small shipment that does not fill an entire container, your items will be consolidated with other customers that are going to the same destination.

Air Service

For tight delivery timeframes, FlatRate’s air service is the answer. Offering climate-controlled units and exact delivery dates, our aerial service is the fastest form of international shipping and ideal when moving high-end art, antiques and furniture. With a delivery window of about 3 weeks, this type of service allows you to set the pick up and delivery dates.

Containers & Shipment Sizes

After you complete your initial international moving consultation, FlatRate will plan your move in one or two container sizes — 20ft or 40ft long — based on the volume of items you have. If you have a small shipment that does not fill an entire container, the best option is to send your inventory in a Less than Container Load (LCL) in which your items will be consolidated with other international movers that are going to the same destination. We have 2 weekly consolidation sailings to international locations — one to London and one to the rest of Europe. If you have a larger shipment, it will be sent through a Full Container Load (FCL).

For guidelines on which items are eligible for shipping, please refer to the Country Guide.

Easy Storage Solutions

In addition to our international moving services, FlatRate offers short term storage prior to your move. Our global network of storage facilities will keep your items safe if your new home isn’t ready for everything all at once, and then ship to you when you’re all set. With 24/7 security, photo inventory, and door-to-door service, you can relax knowing that your belongings are safe while being stored in a different country.
